Fiona brings a wealth of HR experience having worked as a Global HR Director for a Multi-National Services and Technology business where she has led teams across multiple regions. Fiona is a chartered member of the CIPD, a committee member and the diversity and inclusion ambassador for the Institute of Directors (IoD) Glasgow and the West, and a member of the Scottish Business Advisory Group. Her expertise covers a variety of complex HR challenges, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, where she focuses on creating effective integration strategies to unify company cultures.

With a keen eye for detail and a practical approach, Fiona excels in asking the right questions, providing invaluable guidance and advising clients on strategic planning for business growth. Her deep understanding of the importance of communication in HR makes her a trusted advisor, helping organisations navigate change and achieve sustainable growth.

Laura has over 12 years of HR experience in a wide range of sectors where she has partnered with business leaders to deliver strategic people solutions, organisational change, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.

Recognised for building trusted relationships at all levels, influencing positive outcomes, and balancing commercial priorities with a people-first approach, Laura is skilled in coaching senior leaders, managing union relationships, developing HR strategy, and delivering impactful learning and development programmes. She is a certified Workplace Mediator and Mental Health First Aider, committed to fostering inclusive, high-performing workplaces where people and businesses can thrive.

Lesley began her career in Business Operations, spending many years as a Business Operations Manager before transitioning into HR. This has given her a first-hand understanding of the commercial pressures, team management responsibilities, and day-to-day challenges that leaders face. Lesley brings that practical business insight to her HR work, ensuring that her support is grounded in real world experience.

A Chartered Member of the CIPD, Lesley’s experience includes working with large international organisations across multiple countries and cultures, giving her both a global perspective and an appreciation of the diverse ways in which people and businesses succeed.

Arlene began her career in hospitality management, where she developed a strong foundation in customer service, a value she continues to carry into every professional interaction.

Transitioning into HR, she has gained extensive experience as an HR Business Partner across multiple industries, including hospitality, engineering, logistics, finance, contact centres and the public sector, often working on a global scale.

Her expertise spans both operational and project management, with a proven track record of leading TUPE projects, designing and delivering People Management courses, launching company-wide Mental Health Awareness initiatives, and collaborating on strategic change programs.

Mari is an experienced HR professional who supports organisations across the public and private sectors on employee relations, organisational change and employment law. Known for her pragmatic and people-focused approach, she works closely with managers and senior leaders to deliver practical solutions that balance business priorities with employee wellbeing.

Drawing on experience within a large global organisation, Mari has advised on complex workplace issues, policy development and change initiatives. She uses data driven insights and collaborative working to help resolve challenges proactively, strengthen employee engagement, improve workplace culture and support inclusive, high-performing environments where people and businesses can thrive.

With 30 years of experience in the HR and people development sector, Jill has worked across a wide range of industries and market sectors, including Outsourcing, Manufacturing, Charity, Education, Retail, and Customer Service.

As a strategic HR leader, Jill focusses on enhancing organisational performance through effective leadership, motivated employees, and a positive cultural environment. Jill’s experience includes developing HR strategies and utilising psychometric tools like MBTI and DISC. Jill is a Fellow of the CIPD and advocate for menopause awareness in the workplace.

Louise has over 20 years of HR and Training experience both as internal HR in Corporate and more recently as an Independent Consultant. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.

Louise has worked with a wide range of business sizes and sectors, specialising in Employee Relations issues including redundancy and TUPE. From a training perspective, she focusses on giving managers the skills they need to manage their people through difficult issues such as performance management, disciplinaries and grievance.

With years of experience in creating office mischief and bringing joy to the team, Mollie and Willow are true professionals in boosting morale. Mollie, a spirited Westie, specialises in puddle-diving and muddy adventures, making sure every workday is filled with excitement. Willow, on the other hand, takes a more refined approach, carefully sidestepping any mess and keeping her pristine coat in top condition.

Together, they bring a balanced dynamic to the office. Mollie ensures that no puddle goes unexplored, while Willow provides the calm, collected presence every team needs. Their combined expertise in charm and cuddles makes them indispensable members of The HR Practice, always ready to offer a wagging tail and a friendly paw.
